Over two years later, Will proposed—and in an unexpected fashion. “Will came into our bedroom and told me he would really like to go on a 10-day silent meditation retreat,” Caroline remembers. “He explained that he would not be able to use his phone, have access to email or be able to be in contact at that time, and then asked if I was okay with it. I said of course without any hesitation. He then looked at me and said he thought we should get married. Then, she made a charmeuse gown with spaghetti straps, a train, and a plunging back. She paired it all with Manolo Blahniks, a veil from Pronovias, and custom teardrop diamond earrings by William Goldberg.
